Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Contracts & Procurement Officer to start a new role in Bury, Greater Manchester.The Contracts and Procurement Officer has a key role to play in ensuring the Council undertakes robust commissioning activity, evidence transparency, value for money and commissions high quality services on behalf of the citizens of Bury.This is a full-time temporary role for the next 3 - 6 months, with the possibility of extension.Responsibilities: To contribute to the development of a robust commissioning culture within the department.To commission services based on data analysis, customer feedback, evaluation, market analysisTo develop service specifications, tender documentation, and issue contracts.To develop services to provide high quality and value for money.To negotiate fee uplifts and individual care package costsTo provide advice and support to Council Officers and ProvidersApplicant Requirements: Experience: Experience of contracting and commissioning, ideally with a Local Authority background and childrens social careQualifications: Professional qualification or NVQ level 3, or above, or equivalent, in a relevant areaCompliance: Right to Work in the UKHours: 37 hours a week, hybridWorking with Seven Resourcing: We have been helping social care professionals find exciting new roles for almost a decade, so we know exactly where to look when it comes to sourcing the best opportunities.
