Bury Council are recruiting for an Interim Asbestos Contract Surveyor.Contract: Initially until01/04/2024. Potential for extension or to apply for a permanent position.Hours: 37 per weekLocation:Knowsley Street, Bury. Hybrid working, 1 day in office per week. Site visits also included.Driving licence and own transport required.Purpose of the post:To provide a premises operational management service with regard to Asbestos Management to internal service clients and schools ensuring all premises are being maintained and used in accordance with legal statute, health and safety legislation and Authoritypolicies by services through their building managers. When required to do so manage other statutory compliance and cyclical maintenance contracts.With an up-to-date knowledge of current asbestos legislation and best practice of all types of asbestos surveys and asbestos removals, you will help ensure that Bury Council is compliant in its management of asbestos.Key Requirements:
