Job Description

HGV TechnicianSalary c£35,500.00 - c£47,250.00£12.40 to £19.13 per hour(Dependent on hours worked and experience level)We are searching for Motivated, Reliable and Hard-Working HGV Technicians who will be based fromour client’s brand new depot at Burtonwood, Warrington.You must only apply if you have relevant Engineering Qualifications such as NVQ/City and Guilds Level 3 or above in HGV Mechanics (level 2 with Irtec is acceptable)ORMechanical Engineering (Military equivalent is acceptable) ANDIdeally, but not essentially - Hold a CLASS 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) LicenceHours of Work:DAYS07:00 -16:30 Monday to Friday08:00 - 12:00 Saturdays: work two, take one off, work two take one off etcApprox. 5 hours overtime available each week at time and a halfNIGHTS22:30 - 07:00 Monday to FridayOr Week 1 20:30 - 06:00 Monday to ThursdayWeek 2 20:30 - 06:00 Tuesday to FridayApprox. 5 hours overtime available each week at time and a halfOur client is a franchised Scania dealership which has 5 depots throughout the North West of England all operate 24 hours, Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings with excellent working conditions.   • The role of HGV Technician will involve:
  • Being responsible for carrying out inspection and service routines and repairs and testing of vehicles in a professional and safe manner
  • Reporting to the shift supervisor
  • Investigating and diagnosing faults
  • Observe Health and Safety rules
  • Planning work and managing diagnostics
  • Report findings and carrying out all repairs to the current manufacturer’s standards, with the most effective use of your time
  • Liaising with the parts department effectively
