Job Title: WarehouseLocation: Barton Under Needwood, StaffordshireDuration: PermanentSalary: £28000 per annum (DOE)Hours:37 hours ( Days )Our Engineering client based in Barton Under Needwood have a vacancy for a permanent Warehouse SupervisorKey Aim: Leading the Warehouse team, ensuring H&S is always the highest priority. Responsibility for ensuring customer product and raw material is received into the site, transacted and stored according to local procedures. Also providing technical support to productionteam and undertake responsibility for investigating incidents that affect health such as pollution, accidents at work, noise control, toxic contamination, pest infestations and waste management.Key Duties & Tasks:Monitoring work activity, output and understanding issues and priorities* Stock audits and reporting within the MRP system* Check that all products are stored in accordance with procedures* Responsible for the completion of transactions within MRP which automatically provides despatch documents* Ensure that all goods for despatch are labelled and packages appropriately in line with safety regulations* Providing a service to other departments where the driving of a stacker truck is required* Ensure that all stores & yard are kept to a high standard of housekeeping* Loading and off-loading vehicles* Use of lifting and handling equipment as appropriate* Processing transactions within the MRP system* Maintaining discipline, timekeeping and housekeeping and an awareness of Health and Safety issues in the warehouse area* Assisting with administrative duties* Liaise with Planners, Supply Chain Engineers and the Sales team as appropriate to ensure the customer requirements are being met and are in harmony with company specifications and quality standards* Participation in Logistics QRQC* Lead the 5S activity for the Warehouse & Yard* Communicate any deficiencies in warehouse and environmental activities as they are detected and suggest corrective actions to the Supply Chain Manager/HSE Manager* Ensure relevant KPIs are achieved* Manage and book holidays via WinTA* Organise transport for dedicated deliveries/same-day* Create and send documentation for direct shipments * File export documentation in line with HMRC requirements* Manage daily workload constraints (Goods inwards/Cyclic Audits)* Use MRP reports to identify failed lines* Analyse statistics on waste levels* Support with the waste collection contracts if required * Advise the company on waste reduction* Monitor service of waste collection and waste segregation* Conduct risk assessments and compile reports on waste reduction* Manage collection of waste streams from offsite depots / locationsSkills, Knowledge & Experience
