Job Description

Early Years Course Leader (Tutor)Part Time 0.6 FTE - 22.2 hrs/week (potential for additional hours)£15,985-£20,259 per annum (£26,642 - £33,766 pro rata)Burton on Trent, Town Centre CampusWho are we looking forBurton and South Derbyshire College is seeking a dedicated individual to serve as an Early Years Course Leader within their education department. The role involves leading and delivering a variety of courses tailored to early childhood education, focusingon nurturing the development of children from infancy to early school years. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children by providing high-quality early childhood education and fostering their growthand development during this crucial stage of life.

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Early Childhood Education or Primary Education related experience is highly preferred.
  • Possession of a certificate in education or a willingness to pursue one is valued.
  • Proficiency in early childhood development theories and EYFS frameworks, including knowledge of relevant educational frameworks and regulations, is essential.
  • Experience in designing and implementing engaging and age-appropriate learning activities for young children is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders are important aspects of the role.
  • The successful candidate will be committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that supports the holistic development of young children.
