Job Description

Shift Engineer£18 per hourBurtonFlexible Shift PatternWe are looking for an experienced Shift Engineer to join our clients Burton depot.Hourly rate of up to £18 per hour standard and £20 per hour overtime, so opportunity to earn in excess of £40,000 with overtime.5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays.Currently, our client employs over 1,300 people and carries over 50m passengers a year. Recent acquisitions mean they now operate from depots across the Midlands, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Oxfordshire, Surrey and the Heathrow area. Theyre also busyactively seeking new opportunities through tendered and commercial opportunities to grow the business, so its a really great time to join them.They are looking for flexible Engineering to work a 40 hour contract, MondaySaturday (no Sundays) 5 days from 7.They are looking for someone with experience in a PSV or HGV environment, who is confident in fault finding and rectification of faults and defects. Good knowledge of the DVSA rules and legislation is important to aid with inspections and MOTs.Key responsibilities:

  • MOT inspections and preparation
  • Service and inspections of the fleet
  • Defect and rectification of buses running back from service
  • Engine, Adblue, Gearbox, Running gear replacements and repairs
  • Preparing the fleet for next day service
Requirements:
  • Team player
  • Experience with PSV or HGV vehicles
  • Good knowledge of DVSA rules and legislation
  • Confident in fault finding and rectification of all types of faults and defects
