Service, Test & Commissioning Engineer (Rail)Burton Upon Trent – With travelGood base salary, bonus, good pension & excellent other benefitsINTRODUCTIONAs a world leading engineering company with a proven track record in providing advanced engineered solutions, predominantly to the rail industry (locos, not infrastructure), as well as tunneling and construction, my client has a history and pedigree that spans almost a century.They have also developed some novel and cutting edge locos and equipment that provides additional capabilities and functionality to the locos.Due to an increased workload, the award of some very prestigious contracts and a healthy order book, they are now looking to bring in an additional Service, Test & Commissioning Engineer to be involved in the company’s growth.THE ROLEDue to the knowledge on company products necessary to be confident being out in the field, this will be a staggered role. This means an initial period working with the fitting teams, service, test and commissioning teams and others in the business, in order to develop a strong understanding of the equipment and methodologies.Part of this will be on the assembly floor and some shadowing of the service, test and commissioning team members and allow you to gain commissioning and test experience of the product systems, what to expect in the field and how to overcome any issues.So you’ll be:
