Job Description

Senior Systems Accountant | Burton-on-Trent | £50,000 - £60,000Looking to move into a new and challenging role to stretch and develop your career Want to add value to improve business processes and profitability Do you have an inquisitive mind-set with a desire to collaborate with the rest of the business If so, this could be the perfect next career move for you!Macildowie are currently supporting a local employer of choice. This role will be responsible for the development of the core financial system and the integration into a new ERP solution. Youll need to have a track record of demonstrating high levels of accountability, be financially astute, with significant experienceof statutory accounting and internal/external audit. Able to confidently work with internal and external stakeholders.What is the job

  • Support the IT Director with Financial projects Including upgrade / replacement of the current finance and ERP system
  • Assist the Group FC with all systems projects
  • Support systems related improvements for month end management account process and Budget
  • Ad hoc projects supporting the CEO, CFO and Group FC
  • Liaison with external advisers on statutory audit and related activities
  • Document all finance IT systems processes
  • Provide user training where applicable

  • Project Team
  • IT and Finance teams
What are you like
  • Appropriate accounting qualification ACA/ACCA or CIMA
  • Previous systems/finance background.
  • Must have experience of systems implementations
  • Understanding of accounting concepts
  • Manufacturing accounting experience
  • A track record of delivering projects on time
  • Experience of working with Hyperion systems
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office especially Excel
