Job Description

Assess and mitigate risks, establish effective controls, and support business initiatives.Client DetailsLeading brand in the East MidlandsDescription

  • Collaborate with business units to identify, assess, and prioritise risks associated with their operations.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of risk mitigation efforts.
  • Evaluate and enhance existing internal controls and processes to ensure they align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and document new controls as necessary.
  • Conduct regular control self-assessments and assist with internal and external audits.
  • Build strong working relationships with department heads and key stakeholders to understand their business processes and objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and provide guidance on risk and control matters.
  • Support cross-functional projects that require risk and control expertise.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to risk management and controls.
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on risk and control best practices.
  • Raise awareness about the importance of risk management and control across the organisation.
  • Present data-driven insights to facilitate informed decision-making.
Profile
  • ACA/ ACCA/ CIPFA/ CIA
  • Proven experience in external audit, risk management, internal controls, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and risk management methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and drive change
