Job Description

Here at Job Paths 4 U we are looking to recruit a Registered Manager for a small Residential Care Service, which provides care and support to people diagnosed with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs based in a very picturesque location on the outskirts of Burton on Trent.This Registered Manager opportunity is working for a small independent provider, who has 2 other services 1 Residential and 1 Community-based.This service is made up of a mixture of full time and respite beds.As the Registered Manager, your role will be developing and progressing as the service does on a day to day basis.Below is a brief overview of the tasks and duties you will be undertaking on a regular basis:

  • Complete the staffing rota’s to make sure the home is fully staffed 24/7, and make sure that everything is updated for when each of the respite users are in service throughout the year
  • Be able to build positive working relationships with external stakeholders such as: Families, Social Workers, Health professionals and staff agencies
  • Be able to act as a positive role model to junior staff in working with people diagnosed with Learning Disabilities and Complex needs
  • To be able to guide and signpost staff on where to seek help and potentially extra training for Complex needs such as: Peg Feeding, Catheterization and Tracheotomy
  • Have good diary skills
  • Act as a positive role model for junior staff
  • Have a good knowledge or be aware of suitable person-centred activities in the local community in Burton on Trent or in the wider community of Staffordshire/ Derbyshire
  • The ideal candidate for this Registered Manager of Learning Disabilities and Complex needs service will need to be:
  • Experienced in working and managing services for people diagnosed with Learning Disabilities and Complex needs
  • Experienced in producing rota for 4 weeks at a time
  • Previous experience in working with and to CQC regulations
  • Someone who can think on their feet to problem solve
  • Someone who is hands-on and enjoys delivering support and care to people
