Job Description

QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIANBURTON-ON-TRENT£24,000 per annumGrafton Recruitment are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Technician to guarantee consistence with the Quality Management and HACCP frameworks and great assembling practice (GMP) including item quality confirmation, sanitation and cleanlinessguidelines, recognisability.This is a great opportunity for someone that is looking for progression in career and a long-term position inside of a fast growing company.THE ROLE:As a Quality Assurance Technician, your main responsibilities will be managing daily quality assurance, HACCP and Quality Management maintenance and handle elements of projects as delegated by QA Supervisor and/or the sites senior technicalmanagement.Some of your responsibilities as a Quality Assurance Technician are listed below:

  • To play a key part in all areas of HACCP compliance.
  • Motivate, train, teach, and develop production operatives into a cohesive team that is critical of procedures and the working environment, and who makes proactive suggestions for improvement. To evaluate the performance and output of the manufacturing operativeon a regular basis and to efficiently handle any shortcomings.
  • Support the QA supervisors and sites senior technical management team with BRCGS certification and maintenance.
  • Direct and active participation in customer and third party schemes, from site preparation to preventative and remedial action, if needed, using root cause analysis.
  • Daily, be active in all parts of the factory to ensure that high standards of GMP and system compliance are met, working closely with key staff to understand and correct any areas of non-compliance, escalating and recording as necessary.
  • Assessment of raw material intake against known standards.
  • Drive product quality and work closely with the manufacturing team to promote a QA culture throughout all aspects of the business.
  • To carry out identified duties as part of the Critical Incident Management Team.
  • Encourage and assist in the development of the sites food safety culture in order to avoid deviations in the process that could compromise the safety, quality, or legality of our products.
  • Any other duties that your line manager or senior management deems necessary to assist with the businesss operations.
THE CANDIDATE:The ideal Quality Assurance Technician:
  • Working within and managing a team of people to deliver results / performance in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office / IT software, data trending and graph generation / pivot table creation.
  • Capable of planning and prioritising daily production demands while keeping the departments long-term goals in mind.
  • Leads by good example, consistently sets standards of operation and encourages teamwork and feedback, recognising potential.
  • Understands the demands on the team supporting as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates an excellent standard of written and verbal communication in all areas.
  • Understands and demonstrates the need for excellence in customer service both internal and external.
  • Consistently applies hygiene and quality standards, focus and compliance.
  • Demonstrates high levels of flexibility both in roles and hours of work to meet the needs of the business.
COMMUTABLE FROM:Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, LeicestershireBENEFITS:
