Job Description

We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Learning Design & Project Partner to join an expanding and innovative company in the Learning and development team. This role is hybrid working, with the expectation of working from one of the sites onaverage 2 days a week, and the rest of the week WFH. You will work with key stakeholders and SMEs to provide expertise in solutions using robust project plans. This may involve both creation and curation of solutions across digital, social, or face-to-face.Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all learning interventions are evaluated post deployment, to ensure they are achieving desired outcomes for both learner and project stakeholders, suggesting further refinements as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest learning theory and learning technology innovations, in order to inform design recommendations
  • Ensure all details for the deployment of learning (who,what,when,where) are defined communicated, and all learning interventions have a robust comms plan. This may involve supporting project stakeholders or, in the case of L&D strategic projects, managingthe comms and deployment plans directly.
  • Provide the Digital Learning Producers and / or Learning Videographer with the key information they need to produce learning assets, project managing the process to ensure all work is delivered on time, to the quality needed. This includes planning in reviewswith stakeholders and subject matter experts, and ensuring all content is technically sound.
  • Review project requests through the lens of how they align to there L&D strategic projects and the wider organisational goals.
  • Work with divisional stakeholders and subject matter experts to analyse learning requests: using data and feedback to understand the root performance or behaviour gaps, understand audience learning preferences and key considerations.
  • Work with divisional stakeholders to agree learning intervention goals: agree key metrics to measure the success of solutions.
  • Propose effective solutions to address the root cause of performance or behavioural gaps: this may be the design of learning interventions or may be suggestions to address other causes not related to learning.
  • When learning interventions are identified, collaborate with the Learning Design Producers to propose appropriate learning assets needed to address the root cause: these could be eLearning, face-to-face learning, on-the-job resources, video, or audio media;or a blend of different formats. These will be linked to understanding the needs and learning preferences pf the targeted audience.
  • Agree an appropriate project plan for the creation of learning solutions, agreeing who key stakeholders and decision makers are, outlining project timelines and identifying key actions and information needed from stakeholders and subject matter expertsto deliver the proposed solution.

  • Able to influence others, giving recommendations based on evidence and expertise
  • Able to take ownership of workload and manage time effectively and independently
  • Operational experience or experience in performance consultation also an advantage
  • Use of creative design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud to produce other formats of digital learning is favourable but not essential
  • Experience in a role involving working with numerous stakeholders and subject matter experts in projects
  • L&D / Learning Design qualification or demonstrable experience desired
  • Project management qualification or relevant experience
  • Demonstrate knowledge of learning technology: different learning formats and deployment methods
  • Understand the latest development thinking
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
