Working for OMNI-CEMOMNI-CEM Ltd is an independent construction materials test and analysis laboratory, specialising in the testing and appraisal of construction materials.Set up in Staffordshire in 2008, the business runs from a modern purpose-built testing laboratory with state-of-the-art environmental controls and test equipment, ensuring that testing and analysis is performed in a controlled manner, exactly to the customersrequirements.With our in-depth knowledge of product and test standards, and an understanding of the practical applications for which construction materials are used, we can provide a fast and accurate service to the construction industry.What its like working in this roleIn this role you will be working with the laboratory team where you will receive, prepare, and undertake testing of materials for various properties. This includes the testing of aggregates, concrete, and cementitious materials in accordance with requiredmethods and client requirements.You will ensure that all work is undertaken safely in accordance with required processes and comply with the high standards of work required by the Quality Management Systems within the required time frames.Also you will maintain and calibrate equipment to our high standards and proactively communicate with senior staff to ensure effective day to day running of the laboratory.You will be trained in how to work safely in a quality-controlled laboratory with support from your mentor, whilst maintaining excellent housekeeping and in accordance with Health and Safety, environment, and risk management systems.Successfully completing your Level 3 apprenticeship programme and demonstrating an in-depth knowledge around the company values, standards and processes could pave your way to a career progression and respective financial reward.RequirementsExperienceWhilst previous experience is great, we at Tiro are always open to wildcards. Youll be trained by an expert tutor from Tiro, wholl make sure you develop the knowledge, skills, and work habits youll need to succeed in yourapprenticeship.Being an apprentice is hands-on, so youll get the chance to learn things you might otherwise not have experienced in a university or college environment.
