Job Description

Our client is currently looking for a Hospital Porter to play a crucial role in the smooth functioning of a healthcare facility by providing support in the transportation of patients, medical equipment, and various materials within the hospital premises.This role would be working on a temporary to permanent basis. The primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and efficient movement of individuals and items while maintaining a high standard of professionalism, compassion, and adherence to hospital protocols.General duties include:Patient Transport

  • Safely transport patients to and from different hospital areas, including wards, operating rooms, and diagnostic units.
  • Assist patients with mobility, ensuring their comfort and well-being during transfers
  • Medical Equipment handling
  • Transfer medical equipment, supplies, and specimens between departments as required
  • Ensure the proper handling and secure transportation of sensitive medical instruments
Material handling:
  • Distribute and collect hospital supplies, linens, and other materials as per departmental needs
  • Maintain accurate records of materials transported.
Support to medical staff
  • Assist medical staff in moving patients for examinations, tests, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with nursing and other healthcare professionals to prioritize and execute transport requests.
Hospital Porters may work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role involves frequent standing, walking, and lifting heavy objects. The job requires you to be physically fit and able to perform set tasks with a high level of attentionto detail and the ability to handle stressful situations with composure.
