Job Description

HGV ShunterExtra Drivers are recruiting for HGV Shunters to work at our client in Barton under Needwood, near Burton on Trent. As a HGV shunter you will undertake yard shunting on either a day or night shift operating a Terberg unit. For class 1 drivers who have held your license for a minimum of 12 months training on a Terberg unit can be provided.Day shifts are 0600 to 1800 and night shifts are 1800 to 0600. Each shift pays a guaranteed 11.5 hours.A HGV Shunter will need:

  • A valid class 1 license
  • A valid CPC and tacho card
  • No more than 6 points (No DDs, DRs, TTs, INs)
  • To have held your license for a minimum of 12 months for insurance purposes
    • A HGV Shunter will receive:PAYE 0 - 12 weeks
  • Days - £11.78 per hour
  • Nights - £13.56 per hour
    • PAYE 12 plus weeks
  • Days - £11.78 per hour
  • Nights - £13.56 per hour
  • OT 5th and 6th (days) - £198.80 per shift
  • OT 5th and 6th (nights) - £229 per shift
