Are you a french speaking sales professional who is keen to travel to France on a regular basis & has the ambition to grow into a European sales manager in the next 3-5 years

  • £35000-£38000 (OTE £40,500-£42,500)

Your CompanyYour company is a US-owned fast-growing, global foodservice packaging manufacturer based in the UK who are currently seeking a highly motivated French-speaking sales professional to spearhead its growth across France and will then go on to develop theirown European sales team in the next 3-5 years.Ideally, you will be a fluent French speaker. If you have only a basic grasp of French but want to develop the language you will still be suitable as this company will pay to develop your language skills.This company specializes in delivering Foodservice Labeling products, and is at the forefront for bringing innovative solutions to businesses within the Foodservice sector. As a result of growth and incoming legislation, this company has developed a brandnew Sales Manager position to spearhead growth in France.This is a new role working remotely from home office utilizing computer technology to have virtual video calls, emails, and mobile calls with new and existing customers. France will be your primary territory; additionally, you will support customers in Spain,Portugal, Belgium, and Luxembourg.Reporting to the European Sales Director, you will receive excellent training and direct mentorship to fast-track your sales career within this growing global business. This company prides itself on developing, nurturing, and supporting its staff and is theperfect opportunity to develop yourself and your sales career in an environment that truly wants to help you succeed.Your Role & Responsibilities - French Sales Manager
  • Remote-based, engaging with all contacts through virtual platforms and face-to-face meetings
  • Travel to France and other European countries 2 weeks per month
  • 70% of the role will be new business development focused, initiating new relationships with customers through France
  • 30% of the role will be account management focused, maintaining and developing already existing customers and cross-selling/upselling solutions to them
  • Your customers will predominantly be distributors and end-users within the hospitality, education, and restaurant sectors
  • Attend sales meetings and trade shows within Europe (up to 4 times per year)
  • Work with the Sales Director to identify targeted accounts in the regions on which to focus and maintain and increase sales at these specific accounts.
  • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders including customers, logistics/operations and shipping companies
Your Background - French Sales Manager
  • The ability to communicate fluently in French is preferable but conversational French is also acceptable
  • At Least 2 years of sales experience is essential
  • You must be based in the UK and be located within a commutable distance to a nearby train station or Airport
  • You must be able to demonstrate a track record of developing new business
  • Be able to travel by car & hold a full clean driving license.
  • Must be able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills
  • Must be happy to travel once per month to head office (based in Burton-on-Trent)
  • Previous experience in dealing with European customers is advantageous but not essential
  • Additional language skills in German, Spanish or Italian would also be advantageous
