Financial Reporting AccountantUp to £40,000 p/a + Bonus + PensionFull time, PermanentStaffordshire (Hybrid)Hamilton Woods Associates are working with an American-owned, FSTE 100 listed client based in Staffordshire that are expanding within their broad finance team. The Financial Reporting Accountant works across multiple disciplines and functions due to thenature of this multi-faceted business.As the Financial Reporting Accountant, you will work closely with the Group Financial Reporting Manager on the maintenance of the Group consolidation system. The role is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of key deliverables, including monthlyreconciliations, quarterly Group reporting submissions and US statistical returns.Day to Day Responsibilities: Responsible for the preparation of relevant areas of the Groups quarterly HFM reporting submissions. Responsible for the completion of US statistical returns. Responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance in relevant areas. Responsible for maintaining appropriate records suitable for research and audit. Responsible for making decisions regarding the prioritisation of work and for identifying opportunities for improvement. Review and understand trial balances extracted from PeopleSoft through enquiry and challenge of unusual and unexpected items. Completion of monthly account reconciliations for a number of Peoplesoft general ledger balance sheet account codes. Preparation of quarterly and year end Oracle HFM reporting submissions to the Group consolidation team in accordance with agreed deadlines. Assist with maintenance of the Group consolidation system (Oracle HFM) to ensure system data, security and mapping are appropriate. Prepare and file US statistical returns as required. Participate in projects and complete ad hoc tasks, as and when required.Skills/Qualifications required: AAT Qualified (Preferably working towards an Accounting qualification Minimum 2+ years experience in a financial reporting environment, either within the accountancy profession or in industry. Experience of producing financial statements under IFRS preferred. Exposure to the challenges of working in a global organisationpreferred. PeopleSoft and Oracle HFM experience an advantage. Knowledge of IFRS Proficiency in PeopleSoft, Oracle HFM and Microsoft Office products Ability to develop and maintain working partnerships in a global organization Flexible and able to respond to short deadlines Demonstrates clear, concise and succinct communication skills including adapting both verbal and written communication to the needs and level of the user Good analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and within a teamIf you would like to apply for this Financial Reporting Accountant role, please get in contact with your CV attached to
