Job Description

On an exclusive basis, greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to work for an SME manufacturing business based in Burton or Lichfield.This is a mixture of a BAU role as well as implementing steps to improve management information and drive the profitability of the business.Duties of the role will include

  • Ensure all accounting procedures and control systems comply with both statutory and company requirements.
  • To maintain and improve the costing and financial accounting systems in line with group standards and requirements
  • Maintain balance sheet accuracy.
  • Annually prepare the audit file for the statutory process and be the key contact for the external auditors
  • Work closely with and provide support to the management team.
  • Organise and value the stock takes including provisioning.
  • Preparation of capital expenditure requisitions for presentation to directors
  • Production of Variance analysis and commentary
  • Preparation and submission of VAT, Intrastat and PAYE returns
  • Drive ERP improvements for the benefit of operations and the business.
  • Ad hoc projects support to all sectors of the businesses in the group.
  • Preparation of the annual budget and presentation to directors
  • Improvement of management information
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to drive performance and improve the bottom line
Skills, Requirements, Qualifications
  • Accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA or CIMA)
  • 5 years experience within a finance department
  • Manufacturing knowledge advantageous
  • Extensive experience in accounting and ERP systems
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Experience of driving initiatives and co-ordinating activities with other dept leads.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Confidential and discrete.
  • Commercially astute, experience implementing new initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management
