Job Title: ExpeditorLocation: Burton-on-Trent, StaffordshireDuration: PermanentSalary:25k-30k DOEWe are currently recruiting for an Expeditor on a permanent basis in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire.You will be responsible for expediting the order book, ensuring demand and material availability are maintained at >95%. You will be supporting the Buyers with the acknowledgement of Purchase Orders/call off orders, MRP planning/scheduling, liaising and coordinatingwith outside Suppliers/Subcontractors plus internal stakeholders. Key Duties & Responsibilities: 1.Maintain and update the supplier delivery data in the MRP system2.Ensuring that we manage the new products by logging quotations under relevant supplier(s) - Assistance in Developing the Supplier Base with the best suppliers3.Support the buyers to maintain supplier quality certification within quality system4.Support in implementing the Supply Chain Strategy - ensuring that support is given to for the Production & Non-Production items 5. Ensure Data for monthly internal Dash Boards (delivery and quality performance) and the Supplier Scorecards are reviewed with the buyers before communicating to the suppliers6. Support invoice queries and ensure that supplier payments are maintained with Accounts Payable team 7. Expedite deliveries and report daily progress attending production meetings and confirm actions taken / required to improve performance8.Support regular review meetings with the Suppliers and internal stakeholders9.Ensure that BOM changes are supported in an accurate manner10.Support Plant Special Projects (Non-Rail) where required11.Support in the development of new systems12.Make an active contribution of ideas for training and self- development plans13.Manage workload to ensure that relevant department members are supported and ensure tasks and objectives are met in a timely manner14.Adhere to reasonable managers requestBackground & Experience: *Minimum 1-year experience in relevant rail or automotive industry.*Excellent communicator and negotiator*Possess good problem-solving skills*Extremely Numerate and Analytical*Able to work as part of a team or solo as required *Results and Performance orientated*Attention to detail and able to present data with clarity*IT literate and fully conversant with all Microsoft Office applications- in particular Advance skills in excel*Preferably having working knowledge of MRP systems and Bom structuresQualifications & Education:*Minimum 5 GCEs / Level 3 NVQ or equivalent *Also suitable for Graduate Trainee applicants*Preferably training for Professional Purchasing qualifications (e.g. MCIPS and/or Material planning / Logistics certification)---Fusion People are committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of age, gender, religion, belief, race, sexuality or disability.
