Job title: Electrician / Harness Builder. location: Burton.Shifts: Days only.Payrate: £15 per hour (PAYE)Hours per week: 44 hour per week.Hours: 7am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 7am to 1pm on Friday. Duration: Contract, 3 Months +Start date: ImmediateIndustries considered: Electrical, panel wiring, vehicles, manufacturing etc.Client Summary:Leading manufacturer and front line supplier of powertrain products based in the UK and Ireland. Areas of expertise include Engine Overhaul, final Drive Overhaul and locomotive refurbishment.Position Summary:The role of the Electrician/Harness builder is to ensure that all the engine rafts are manufactured/repaired in accordance with current drawing/instruction to a high standard.Key accountabilities:* To manufacture conduit and concentric layered harnesses. * To repair parts and equipment when needed. * To inspect and repair harnesses, control cabinets and electrical items of train power packs and transmissions. * To order parts and equipment as necessary. * To complete all documentation and receipts, including inspection sheets, and apply signatures as appropriate. * To identify repairs required via unfair wear and tear and advise the Electrical Team Leader. * To undertake training as and when required. * To work within a realistic timeframe. * To have good knowledge of automotive electrical systems and manufacturing harnesses. * To work to, and support, all relevant 5S activities. * To ensure that standard preventive measure is applied when maintenance is done on all electrical equipment. * To ensure that waste is disposed of in the correct manner. * To mentor trainees / apprentices when applicable. * To follow written or verbal instruction.
