Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer Location: Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire Duration: Permanent Salary: £38,000 per annum (DOE) We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer for a permanent position based in Burton-on-Trent. You will be part of the Engineering team, designing locomotives and related products for the mainline, industrial, mining and tunnelling industries. Requirements: - Degree in a related subject (BEng, BSc). - Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in an engineering product design environment. - To electrically design products, including 2D detail schematic/wiring drawings, and update existing designs, in conjunction with the mechanical design engineers and supporting the technical author. - Capable of working with an ERP system (Microsoft NAV or similar) and associated Bills of Materials. - 2D and 3D CAD (ideally Autodesk Inventor). - PLC (ideally IQAN experience) and Canbus control systems. - AC and DC (<1000v) power systems, generator control or similar. - Large, low volume product experience. - Support production with technical enquiries. - Covid vaccinated (unless medically exempt).
