Job Description

Azure Cloud Engineer, £50-55K,hybrid working policy (Midlands or Suffolk/Cambridge area)Our UK based client is leading the market in the hospitality sector. They are seeking a talented and motivated Azure Cloud Engineer to join their team. The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining their cloud-based infrastructure.The successful candidate will have experience with Azure cloud infrastructure including virtual networks, storage accounts, virtual machines as well as knowledge of networking, security, and automation.Role:

  • Design, build and implement cloud-based infrastructure solutions that meet the business requirements of our clients growing business.
  • Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline deployment and management of cloud resources.
  • Monitor and optimise cloud resources for performance, availability, and cost.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of cloud resources and managing highly scalable and available architectures
  • Collaborate with developers and other IT staff to ensure seamless integration of cloud-based applications.
  • Keep up-to-date with new cloud technologies and best practices and collaborate with vendors regarding scalability and cost-control
  • Working with and guiding the team regarding deployment and cloud best practises moving forwards
Must have technical experience:
  • Azure Cloud Infrastructure Design, Cloud-based Application Development
  • Experience of cloud native platform monitoring tools and security services
  • Experienced in migrating on prem services and applications to an Azure cloud environment
  • Experience with automation tools and with Disaster Recovery
  • Understanding of networking principles and security best practices
  • Azure ARM/ BICEP for resource deployment
  • Azure Logic Apps
  • Linux and Windows Server Operating Systems
  • Software Development / Deployment pipelines
  • Development and DevOps processes
  • Web Application Firewalls
  • Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, Virtual Machines
  • Cloud Security Best Practices, Resource Optimisation, Scalability, Performance Monitoring, Cloud-based Solution Implementation
  • Driven and tenacious and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written
