If you are looking for a new and rewarding career, then becoming a Care Assistant & Companion in the Burton-on-Trent area of Staffordshire could be perfect for you. We have part-time jobs available in Burton on Trent, Barton-under-Needwood, Tutbury, Anslow, Yoxall, Repton and Willington areas of Staffordshire. No experience is required as excellent training is provided. However, it is essential that you have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.Maybe you are retired/semi-retired, and you are looking for a role where you can give something back You could be looking for a role where you can make a difference to the life of an older person living in their own home and helping them stay independent If so, then becoming one of our Care Assistant & Companions could be perfect for you. This is an example of the work our amazing team do:"I came across this role when my children had grown up and left the nest and didn’t need me as much. I wanted something that was rewarding but that I could also split between spending time with my Grandchildren. I looked after my terminally ill Mum and I wanted to do something where I could provide comfort to other families and give them assurance that there’s always a helping hand there for their Mum or Dad. This Care Assistant & Companion role was just what I was looking for. I support a few older adults in the area and each day is different. One of my clients, June, says she can’t wait for my visits and greets me with a hug every day, and that makes my day. Some mornings I will help her get out of bed, get washed and help make her breakfast. I thought I would struggle with the personal care part of the role, but I don’t. I realise it is no different to what I would do for a friend or relative and can be as simple as brushing her hair or help her finish getting dressed. June is living with early onset Dementia and would always sing just a few lines from her favourite song, but she can’t remember the name. I found out what it was called and now we play it on my visits, it’s now also become one of my favourites. This isn’t a job, it’s a privilege and I’m proud to do this and work for a marvellous company."Be part of something specialWe are an award-winning national brand who focus on a companionship led care service providing a minimum of 1-hour home visits to a purely private client base, but the focus being on companionship.
