Job Description

Are you an experienced HR Assistant / Advisorlooking for that next step in your HR career If you’re personable, proactive and up for a role that allows you to be an integral part of the business, then we want to hear from you.As the HR Advisor, you will work alongside empowered managers and members of the Leadership Team to provide support, advice and guidance with all HR activities. You will focus your time and energy on improving the HR service that is provided to the businessand be proficient and experienced in dealing with a range of casework so will need to be able to handle a varied and demanding workload.Our client is at the start of an exciting journey within their HR team as they look to implement transformational HR change. As the HR Advisor you will have the opportunity to get involved with line manager development, system implementation, talent management,engagement and an opportunity to really add value.Key areas of the HR Advisor role will include:

  • Deliver an efficient and effective HR support, advisory and coaching service to the business by providing first line contact on all people related issues in line with company policy and procedure, and in line with current legislation
  • Update and review HR policies, procedures and guidelines, providing advice, support and knowledge to managers on their implementation
  • Educate the business on company values, what they stand for and how they should be embedded at company and department level
  • Provide support to the HR Manager and Senior Leadership Team on work restructures, change management initiatives, union negotiations and other project work as part of the overall business strategy
  • Responsible for all ER casework, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, flexible working, and all other family-friendly policies
  • Provide HR support in the area of performance management, including probationary reviews, ongoing performance management initiatives and improvement plans
