Job Description

Job Title: Stores man Do you have a passion for motorcyclesWould you like to work as part of a team of like minded, passionate enthusiasts supporting the development and testing of both current and concept motorcycles Then this opportunity maybe the next role for you!Working in the Workshop stores you will be critical in supporting the team of specialist engineers and technicians carry out chassis and engine build and test projects both on and off site by controlling goods in and out, monitoring stock levels, keepingtrack of components and ensuring the availability of parts when needed.In return the Leicestershire based office of this company will offer you a salary of circa £30,000 + benefits.Responsibilities of the Stores man will include the following:

    General storage duties, managing and maintaining store logistics in an organised and
efficient manner.
      Raise purchase requests and purchase orders using SAP.
Administrate the calibration of equipment.Track and analyse parts stock levels.Support Chassis and Engine builds through the managing and coordination of partsassociated with related development projects.
      Operating a forklift truck to move parts in and out of storage and racking.
Monitor and manage goods-in and goods-out, liaising and maintaining excellentrelationships with both internal and external stakeholders and handling any associated administration, i.e. delivery notes and invoices.
    Unpacking of Parts & Motorcycles.
  • Driving a pool car/van to deliver and collect from suppliers.
The Stores man should have the following skills or experience:
      Good standard of general education (GCSE English and Maths grade C or equivalent).
Active team player, who shares information with colleagues and internal customers viateam meetings, databases, filing systems, etc.
      Full, valid UK driving licence.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Customer and quality focused.Confident, tactful, diplomatic, enthusiastic.Previous experience in a similar role.Ability to maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.It would be advantageous for you to have some of the following skills:
      Previous experience in automotive market, preferably Motorcycle.
Computer literate - competent in using Google App Suite, including Google Sheets.An interest in Motorcycles.Experience driving a van and/or larger vehicles.International driving experience.
