Job Description

  • Are you an experienced Kitchen Assistant/Catering Assistant/Chef Assistant
  • Can you work in Chelmsford, Essex on a temporary, ongoing basis
  • Are you available to work 3pm - 7.30pm Monday to Fridays OR 7.30am - 2.30pm (with a 30 min unpaid lunch break) Monday to Fridays
  • Are you happy to carry out Kitchen Assistant duties as well as occasional Cleaning (as and when required) within a healthcare enivornment which specialises in offering Mental Health services
  • Can you commence employment immediately or within 1 week

  • Monday - Fridays from 15.00pm - 19.30pm
    • OR
  • Monday - Fridays from 07.30am - 14.30pm (with an unpaid 30min break included)
    • Job Duties:
  • Carrying out of duties in the Central Production Kitchens, Restaurant or Ward Level Patient Meal Service.
  • These duties include service of food, cleaning of premises and equipment, preparation of vegetables, fruit, salads, sandwiches, toast, beverages and other food items.
  • Cooking and preparation of basic food items for serving.
  • It can involve taking of cash, mainly via the use of cash tills.
  • Pot wash and working in the catering stores area.
  • Full training is given before this duty is undertaken.
    • To successfully commence employment as a Kitchen Assistant you will be required to:
  • Register with Your World Healthcare and become fully compliant prior to commencing employment.
  • Apply for a valid in date DBS if you do not yet hold a current enhanced DBS (issued in the last 12 months)or a DBS on the update service. Please note: You will be required to apply for a DBS as part of your application via Your World Healthcare and will not be able to commence employment without a valid DBS being held.
  • Provide 2x professional employment/educational references covering the last 2-3 years.
