Job Description

THE COMPANY:Brewster Partners are delighted to be working with a successful manufacturer in Bromsgrove as they recruit a Stock Controller into a brand new role.Joining an established company which offers a great working environment, the Stock Controller will bring experience within a recent, similar role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial industry.THE JOB:The Stock Controller is a newly created position to join and assist with the organisation and control of physical stock, and to record basic stock movements on Sage 200 accounting software. To carry out general warehouse duties including housekeeping and compliance with health and safety regulations.Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Keep physical stock and Stores organised
  • Check goods in to delivery notes
  • Update Sage 200 accounting software for:
  • Stock issued to works orders
  • Goods received
  • Work with purchasing manager to maintain minimum stock levels
  • Carry out spot checks on stock levels
  • Work with finance department to resolve stock queries
  • Assist in the completion of accurate period end counts
  • Assist with order despatch - Loading/off-loading and palletising jobs
  • Warehouse housekeeping and general factory duties
  • Upholding health and safety standards in the warehouse
  • THE PERSON:
  • Thorough with a strong attention to detail
  • Use your own initiative
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Forklift truck & overhead crane licences
  • Ability to apply logic to physical stock organisation
  • Good product knowledge (stores experience an advantage)
  • Basic levels of IT (Sage 200 accounting software and Excel an advantage)
  • Self-motivated and a team player
  • Good communication skills
  • Driving Licence
