Job Title: Quantity SurveyorLocation: BromsgroveWe are a leading structural engineering company based in Bromsgrove, specializing in delivering high-quality engineering solutions to our clients. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successfulcandidate will work on multiple projects on a weekly basis and collaborate with another chartered Quantity Surveyor, providing comprehensive cost estimating and quantity surveying services.Responsibilities:- Perform cost estimating, cost planning, and budgeting for construction projects.- Prepare and analyse tender documents, contracts, and variations.- Conduct cost analysis and provide value engineering solutions.- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure efficient cost management and project delivery.- Prepare detailed cost reports and cost forecasts.- Review and negotiate subcontractor quotations.- Monitor project costs in line with the established budgets.- Assist in contract administration and settlement of final accounts.- Keep abreast of industry trends, changes in legislation, and best practices related to cost estimating and quantity surveying.Requirements:- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.- MRICS or similar professional qualification is desirable.- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.-Excellent knowledge of cost estimating, tendering, and procurement processes.- Sound understanding of construction contracts and relevant legislation.- Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office Suite.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload effectively.We offer a hybrid working approach, allowing a combination of office-based and remote work to provide a flexible and balanced working environment.Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.If you are a self-motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor, looking for an exciting opportunity to grow your career with a reputable structural engineering company, please submit your CV and cover letter to Jenson @ huntermasonconsulting . com.
