Job Description

An intriguing and distinctive opportunity within a forward-thinking practice!This unique firm of accountants based in Bromsgrove seek a Payroll Administrator. The firm is niche in that their portfolio of clients includes high-profile and well known professionals in the entertainment, media and sports industries.Sitting within the Accounts team, as Payroll Administrator, you will ensure client payrolls and calculations are processed in a timely manner, liaising with clients and investigating and resolving any queries as required.The practice has demonstrated on countless occasions their passion and desire to move the careers forward of its people through investment in training and development, with the previous incumbent progressing within the firm.This is a brilliant opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys variety in their work and is keen to expand their professional competencies. If desired, the opportunity to also get involved with bookkeeping and VAT returns is there.Responsibilities:

  • Process payrolls for a portfolio of clients, accurately and within deadlines
  • Onboard new clients and set up pension schemes, submitting pension schedules
  • PAYE registrations and auto-enrolment of new employees and leavers
  • Liaising and gather data from clients as well as handling HMRC requests.
Requirements:
  • Previous payroll experience gained within in accountancy practice or from within a bureau setting is ideal
  • Payrollers from within industry will also be considered
  • Previous practical knowledge of accounting systems such as Xero, Sage or BrightPay
  • The capability to use your initiative, self-manage, multi-task, organise workload, work quickly and accurately to meet regular deadlines
  • Any bookkeeping and/or VAT experience beneficial but by no means essential.
