Job Description

Network Systems Engineer - Microsoft, Azure, LAN/WANRemote / Bromsgrove - £40,000 - £70,000 + BenefitsApplause IT are seeking a Network Systems Engineer with experience and skills based around a Microsoft tech stack and core Networking fundamentals who is sought by a global insurance organisation with a tech team based in the West Midlands.We are looking for someone with some Networking and Systems Engineering experience to help integrate newly acquired offices. The Network Systems Engineer will travel to various offices and demonstrate troubleshooting competency, deliver mission criticalinfrastructure, and ensure the highest levels of availability, performance, and security.The successful Network Systems Engineer should possess knowledge of the following:

  • 10+ years experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows operating system, Windows Server, Active Directory, and GPOs
  • Works effectively with all levels of internal technology team, end-users, management, and 3rd party vendors
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a professional manner
  • Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of applications
  • Experience with virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V)
  • Understanding of monitoring systems (PRTG, Solarwinds, Nagios)
  • Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
  • Microsoft Exchange and O365 migration knowledge (Sharepoint, Teams, Onedrive) is a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and the ability to migrate applications to Azure is a plus.
  • Professional attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong customer service focus
