Job Description

Industrial Gearbox Service fitter - BromsgroveSalary Range: £26,000 to 28,000 dependent on skills & experience.Working hours:

  • Monday: Thursday 08:00hrs till 17:00hrs
  • Friday: 08:00hrs till 15:45hrs
  • Lunch break: 45mins (Thursday 1hr)
  • Final Salary Pension Scheme
23 days holiday. five extra days after completing five years service which then rises a further one day per year for the next five years. End result 33 days holidays after ten years of service. (you do not need to save any for Christmas period either).

Working in a busy industrial workshop, the ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical back ground, with a flexible can do attitude.Ideal skills:
  • Mechanical fitting
  • Some electrical Knowledge
  • Machining (lathe, presses & milling machines etc.)
  • Computer literate
  • Willing to work on customers sites
  • Driving licence
  • Forklift licence
Main Duties:
  • Strip down and assessment of industrial gearboxes and motors
  • Fault finding and completing service job sheets
  • Cleaning and degreasing components
  • Replacing faulty gears, shafts, bearings and seals to manufacturers tolerances.
  • Gearbox and motor assembly and testing
  • Painting and preparing for despatch
