Job Description

Are you an experienced Accounts professional who is looking for a standalone role where you can utilise your skills to run the accounts departmentIf so and you are looking for this level of responsibility, then this position could be for you.We are supporting a large, established Distribution firm near Bromsgrove with their search for an experienced Management Accountant on a contract basis for approximately 12-15 months. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with similar experience to join a welcoming organisation that can offer a bit of flexibility with hours if required.As a Management Accountant your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing payments through the bank
  • EC Sales List and Intrastat reporting and submission
  • VAT Return
  • Process and submit Sales Report in Excel
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of Intercompany balances
  • Run product valuation and post stock movement
  • Process a waste report and post waste journal
  • Revalue Aged Debtors and Aged Creditors
  • Cash Flow
  • Sales Ledger
  • Purchase Ledger
  • Collate Payroll information and submit to Payroll department
  • Preparing Financial Statements
  • Preparing and submitting Management Reports in Excel
  • Pre-payments, accruals
  • Fixed Assets
  • Reconciliation of bank statements
  • Petty Cash
  • Credit Card Statements
  • Credit Control
  • Assisting with audits
  • Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, opening the mail, etc.
  • HR Tasks
  • As a Management Accountant you will have the following skills and experience
  • Experience in Management Accounts after Trial Balance, as well as running an Accounts Department alone
  • AAT, ACA, ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • Sage experience an advantage but not compulsory
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and to be able to do Pivot table and V-Look ups would be an advantage
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Be able to work on their own initiative
  • Good organisational skills & excellent communication skills
  • The Hours of work are Mon-Thur 8.30am-5pm, Fridays 8:30am-3pm.
