Job Description

The OpportunityA large designer wear company are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team.Key ResponsibilitiesSales ledger and reportingAllocation and posting of customer receipts, follow up and resolution of queriesMonth end customer statement processPreparation of month end reports for key customer groups and reconciliation to sales ledgerPreparation of sales figures as requested by Account Managers (support to Finance Manager for sales information reporting) including ad-hoc sales analysisKey finance contact for customers and support to Customer Services team for queries on customer accountsCredit control:Review and chasing of overdue accounts by phone and emailMaintaining accurate recordsPlacing accounts on hold and review of accounts on holdReview and resolve unallocated cash on accountsProvide report with overdue debt that requires escalation to Account ManagersEnsuring people pay on time by continuously looking at improving credit control processCustomer Services/ExportSupport the Customer Services and Export teams when needed, tasks could include: Processing orders/returns/credits via SAGE, direct contact with customers and working with the Account Managers.Purchase ledgerMatching purchase invoices to orders, delivery notes and processing invoicesExpensesReview/checking of expense claims and corporate card statements, summarising in Excel and posting to SAGEPetty CashAdminister petty cash including end of month reconciliation and posting to ledgerOtherConsignment stock maintenance on SAGECosts review and preparation of analysis for Finance ManagerSupport the sustainability objectives of the finance teamKey RequirementsKnowledge of Microsoft ExcelCompleted or Partially completed Level 3 AATDetailsHours: Monday-Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 (30 min lunch)Job Type: Full-time, PermanentStarting salary: £25k(based on experience)Location: Stoke Prior (Bromsgrove)BenefitsOn-site parkingBirthday is given off as a free day of annual leaveMonthly awards
