SF Recruitment are working with a business based in Bromsgrove who are looking for a Care Administrator to join the team Office Based c£25,000 The role: To provide accurate rotas for all staff in connection with provision of reliable and responsive person-centred care and support to people in their own homes and to play a supportive role to Team Leaders as part of the management of a high quality support servicefor older adults in Bromsgrove; To work with families and partner agencies to facilitate the provision of a co-ordinated service which meets the identified needs of the individuals. To always have regard for the requirement for delivery by the Company of respectful personal care, support with daily living activities and general domestic assistance whilst maintaining the dignity of service users and promotion of their independence. Main Duties: To co-ordinate staff rotas in order to fulfil service user needs. To co-ordinate training needs of all members of staff and ensure that the Care Co-ordinator and all staff with whom they work are familiar with Policies (including and especially the Confidentiality Policy) To co-ordinate and deploy staff resources as efficiently as possible in relation to the needs of service users and the requirements of the service in such a way as to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness in the use of staffing resources including continuityof carers, adherence to times requested by (and to suit) service users. To plan ahead to meet the needs of service users as identified by their individual Person-Centred Plan and communicate with service users with regard to any changes in available times and available carers. To follow guidelines and procedures and to be always professional and accountable. To be flexible and responsive to the needs of service users as directed by their Support Plans. To liaise with the Assistant Care Manager/ Care Manager regarding staff holidays and absences. To liaise with the Assistant Care Manager/ Care Manager and relevant Team Leader(s) with relation to variance in rota co-ordination. To immediately report to the Assistant Care Manager/ Care Manager any concerns which come to your notice regarding vulnerable adults. To take appropriate action in the event of emergencies which come to your notice and ensure that the Assistant Care Manager is informed promptly. To be prepared to undertake front line care if the situation arises where cover is needed to support the team leaders and carers, usually in the case of emergency or staffing difficulties. To follow Health and Safety guidelines carefully and to alert the Care Manager immediately of any concerns which come to your notice in relation to Health and Safety issues. To promote anti discriminatory practice and to ensure that the services are responsive to the specific needs of all service users without discrimination. To optimise the rotas to support service users in all aspects of managing their homes and in maintaining continuity of carers and the safety, security, hygiene and comfort of the service users home environments. Other: To provide regular verbal and written reports to the Care Manager. To accept regular support and supervision from the Assistant Care Manager. To undertake general office tasks as needed for the office to function. To maintain confidentiality at all times, in accordance with the agreed policy. To identify training needs in discussion with the Care Manager and to attend training events and courses as required. To observe any written policies, procedures and guidelines for good practice Any other duties as required.
