Job Description

Remote Based An exciting opportunity for a remote based Sales / Account Manager has arisen for my client,an industry leader who design, develop and manufacture highly automated special purpose machinery for the food and beverage sector. Due to company expansionthey are heavily investing in the future and this position has become available. Previous experience of special purpose machinery or capital equipment sales is desired, along with an enthusiastic work ethic and aptitude.Responsibilities of the Sales / Account Manager:
  • The candidate must be confident, organised, and presentable, with excellent communication skills.
  • Previous experience of machinery and industrial environments is essential, along with an enthusiastic work ethic and aptitude.
  • Experience working in the Food Industry, high care, environment is an advantage but not essential.
  • This is a great opportunity for an experienced Technical Sales / Account Manager to join a growing business averaging double-digit growth each of the last 10 years.
  • Collaboration with customers and stake holders adds value to the capital purchase process when offering high-value capital food processing equipment.
  • Reporting to the UK Operations Director, this role will focus on unique customer applications for existing UK & Ireland customers with development of new customer relationship an important part of the role.
  • You can be home-based in Mainland Britain, but you must be flexible to travel to potential and existing customer sites around the UK & Ireland. Occasional, short European travel may be required in support of distributors and trade shows.
Skills and experience ofSales / Account Manager:
  • Proven Sales Management with Capital Equipment experience
  • A strong communicator with excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Sales process from initial enquiry through to project handover, with post-sales support as required.
  • Develop successful sales strategies to achieve profitable growth
  • Interpret customer needs and offer suitable machinery/equipment that will meet their specific application
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Conduct market research, including customer trends and competitor activities
  • Conduct factory appraisals and prepare machinery quotations
  • Organise and attend trade shows
  • Provide regular sales forecasting reports
