Job Description

HR Business Partner - (£18.97-£23.00)To partner Business Unit in providing a comprehensive HR service to managers and staff and embedding the HR Business Partner approach through building trusted relationships, instilling confidence and supporting the development of managers on all HR matters.Specific Duties:1. To partner business units as appropriate providing support to help drive positive improvements in key metrics (e.g. absence, retention and employee engagement).2. To partner business units in managing the people agenda within their areas, ensuring advice and guidance is provided to staff and managers in respect to the processes around: HR policies and procedures, best practice, staffing issues, employment law,employee engagement, wellbeing and recruitment.3. To be accountable for ensuring safer recruitment processes are in place for all staff and those who engage with the Group acting in the capacity of staff (staff, volunteers, contractors, agency, partners etc.).4. To work with the business units in developing a local succession plan and ensuring the establishment meets local needs and budgets and that staffing requests and training applications are considered appropriately to ensure they meet these needs ongoingand consider the strategic direction of the Business Unit5. To advise business units with regard to the development and alterations of Job Descriptions for evaluation purposes, make arrangements for the evaluation of posts and ensure the coordination of staff recruitment and selection in order to ensure a timely,organised and comprehensive procedure is used to hire staff further to the Group policies, processes and timelines6. To advise and implement the Groups Staff Appointment Procedure and participate in the selection processes as appropriate, providing advice and support to managers in staff selection, ensuring they have accurate and timely information to make effectivedecisions7. To work with business units to provide a strategic HR perspective to support workforce planning and business development8. To ensure applicants receive appropriate health surveillance/medicals and that appropriate risk assessments are arranged for any staff as appropriate, including stress risk assessments and maternity risk assessments9. To support with, and conduct staff inductions, ensure completion of mandatory training in a timely manner and induction checklists are collated and filed when completed10. To support the contribution of articles for the Intranet, Information and Training days and support the Business Unit organisation of Celebration days.11. To attend and contribute to monthly HR and Business Unit meetings12. To provide advice and guidance and facilitate the management of all disciplinary and employment law related situations, supporting managers in undertaking investigations as required and oversee and deliver the management of local consultation exercises13. To monitor staff absence levels and provide guidance and support in the management of staff sickness and ensure payroll is processed accurately and overtime and additional hour payments are monitored and paid accuratelyIf you are interested in this position please apply within.Please note that you need to be available with no longer than a week notice.
