Water is essential to daily life, and that means our business is always open.What you will be doingYou would be managing, coaching and developing Thames Water and contractors Repair & Maintenance (R&M) teams, to repair and enhance the water network in the most timely and cost-effective manner with health and safety being paramount in all decisions and repairs.R&M Supervisors are people experts and will drive the performance of their teams, ensuring that health, safety, and quality standards are maintained.We are recruiting for Repair & Maintenance Supervisors across the Thames Valley, South London and North London on a shift pattern of 1 in 4 weekends, 1 in 4 weeks on a late shift and 1 in 8 weeks on standby on an average of 45 hours per week. We will also beoffering a limited number of positions on a working pattern of Monday to Friday, fixed day shifts or Monday to Friday, fixed late shifts. Flexibility to undertake overtime during peak demand is essential.Were looking for you to:

  • Manage operational frontline teams for repair and maintenance activities, with a strong focus on health & safety and quality standards
  • Have a good understanding of water networks
  • Utilise analytical and problem-solving skills in high pressure environments
  • Engage with customers, councils and wider stakeholder relationships to help work get delivered in a timely manner with minimal disruption
  • Champion change through a passion for continuous improvement, promoting best practice ways of working and sharing local knowledge
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to coach and optimise the performance of your frontline teams
  • Effectively manage operational risk through engagement with internal and external stakeholders
  • Be IT literate as all repair and maintenance work is managed electronically
We are looking for you to have:
  • A full UK driving licence
  • EUSR Water Hygiene card
  • Street works qualification (NRSWA)/SMSTS
  • Service Avoidance L2
  • First aid qualification
  • Asbestos and COSHH awareness
  • Abrasive wheels and manual handling training, as well as Confined Space awareness are desirable
