Job Description

Assistant Finane Manager £60,000-£65,000 + bonusSouth West London, office based We are working with a privately owned property developer looking to expand their finance team with a brand new Assistant Finance Manager role.The Assistant Finance Manager will be responsible for the oversight of the project costing and cashflow reporting as well as review of Accounts Payable/ Receivable and general accounting matters.Responsibilities include

  • Monthly reporting on the projects costs and cashflow
  • Tracking and reporting on project expenditures compared to the budget; projects forecast
  • Weekly preparation of aged creditors
  • Controllership over the approval and authorisation of supplier invoices
  • Monitor the preparation of payment batches and allocation of payments using Sage
  • Reconciliation and maintenance of monthly construction valuations/applications
  • Monitor the AR construction invoices
  • Monitor accounting entries, bank reconciliations, revenue and sales invoicing, general ledger journals, and accounting for specific transactions and loan statements
  • Support with VAT and CIS returns
  • Oversight of statutory books for SPVs
  • Supporting with statutory reporting and year-end audit
Key Requirements
  • Accounting Qualification (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA) or qualified by experience
  • Relevant experience, ideally in the property/ development industry
  • Stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of accounting software preferably Sage
  • Strong excel skills
  • Ability to work as part of a close-knit team, hands-on and flexible mindset
