Job Description

Platform Resourcing are currently working in partnership with a multiple award-winning company that rents a variety of construction machinery throughout England and Wales. It has strategically located depots that support a variety of industry customers with ride-on construction equipment.At present they are going through a period of growth and require several key hires to promote and help during this busy period. They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Maintenance Engineer to join their team based in Bristol.Benefits and Salary

  • Salary £26,000 - £28,000 p/a
  • 7.30am - 5.00pm based in the workshop
  • 22 days paid annual leave per year (plus 8 bank holidays)

Duties and Responsibilities of the Workshop Engineer:
  • Fault finding and diagnosis on Plant Equipment and machinery
  • Carry out repairs/ modifications
  • Planned and reactive maintenance to equipment and machinery
  • Carry out pre-delivery inspections for Plant Equipment
  • Operate and carry out duties in a safe manner paying attention to current health and safety procedures
  • Machines worked on include dumpers, excavators, rollers, breakers and telehandlers
  • Logging all works completed accurately
Essential Experience and skills:
  • Have experience of working on plant/ construction machinery and diesel engines
  • Be qualified in an Engineering related subject preferably mechanical engineering or HGV Maintenance
  • Have experience in fault finding and diagnosis
  • Engineers from the armed forces are actively encouraged to apply
  • Highly motivated to further their career at an ever-developing company
  • Hold a relevant qualification (NVQ Level 2/3) with relevant knowledge of health and safety legislation
