Job Description

Job Purpose:To be responsible for developing innovative, reusable web-based tools for internal and external clients. The web developers work closely with the department heads and the board to develop specifications and make recommendations on the use of new and emerging technologies both internally and for their external clients. Programming, graphic design and database administration are all elements of this position. You will be part of a small yet fast growing marketing agency which is part of a wider professional services group that looks to provide a one stop shop to SMEs and start-ups. The aim of the organisation is to provide business support and specialist consultancy across a range of operational functions.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with board & department heads to both develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Provide input on design concepts for projects and work as part of team to achieve clients’ desired outcome.
  • Convert raw images and layouts from a graphic designer into CSS/XHTML themes.
  • Determine appropriate architecture, and other technical solutions, and make relevant recommendations to team.
  • Communicate to the team with efficiency and accuracy any progress and/or delays. Engage in outside-the-box thinking to provide high value-of-service to clients.
  • Take ownership and the lead of the design side of the company; Creating bespoke websites from the ground up for their clients.
  • Communicating frequently with clients as to status of web site development.
    • Skill/ Qualification Requirements:
  • Experience working in web development and UX design
  • Familiarity with web standards and usability
  • In-depth understanding of website development languages
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at a time
  • Excellent knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery /php
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as Laravel and Angular
  • Comprehensive skills building and developing using a CMS
  • Proficient code structuring skills
