Wed love to hear from you!About the roleAs a Transfers Technical Manager, you will be responsible for delivering good technical, regulatory, client and colleague outcomes in the Transfers function through analysis, root cause, training, control testing, relationship management, change and riskmanagement activities. You will act as a referral and escalation point for Operations Managers and Senior Managers and will enable the plan for the function. Additionally, you will be a role model for our HL values, driving positive outcomes for clients, colleaguesand the business.What youll be doing

  • Represent HL positively at industry forums and user groups
  • Communicate salient messages and updates through a variety of channels to the wider function, ensuring actions have been completed
  • Liaise with process owners across the Service function and the wider business to ensure end to end transfer processes and controls are designed and documented effectively
  • Drive local change and supports business-wide change; takes responsibility for solution design and documentation and supports clear communications for the function
  • Collaborate proactively and build relationships with Service teams and the wider business; performs horizon scanning and impact assessments and takes ownership for overseeing the documentation of processes, risks and controls across the function
  • Have an in depth understanding of relevant regulation and the risk and control framework and escalates risks, issues and trends.
  • Develop and maintain a communication framework for all technical, regulatory, and procedural changes to ensure that all teams are aware of changes, updates and requirements specific to their roles
  • Working closely with L&OD and other internal customers to ensure technical messages are communicated using the most effective channels in an efficient manner
  • Supports Senior Managers and Operations Managers with ongoing technical competency in the function to reduce events, improve proficiency and maximise colleague engagement and retention
About you
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey points to different audiences and facilitate group discussions
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant regulation
  • Leadership experience within operational or client facing environments
  • Change management
  • Sound analytical/problem solving skills with the ability to identify the root cause and set effective actions to prevent re-occurrence
  • Ability to engage positively with HL colleagues at all levels, suppliers and the wider industry
  • Ability to simplify complex problems and implement innovative solutions
  • Effective stakeholder management
  • Ability to make decisions effectively, considering client and risk impact and escalating issues where appropriate
  • Approachable leader with the ability to motivate others and delegate effect
  • ILM, RO or other relevant industry qualification is desirable
Interview processThis will be a two-stage interview process, consisting of competency and behavioural based questions and a task.Working ScheduleThe role is based in our Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
