Job Description

- Great opportunity to join a growing business with a great culture & Team- Opportunity to help Support Business Growth over the last few yearsClient DetailsOur Client is a Distributor of high end Homeware goods, they have a fantastic culture and are looking for a New Warehouse Quality & Compliance Manager with a great opportunity to add your stamp within the operation.They are based within the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Sector.DescriptionThe Trainee Warehouse Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for;

  • Facilities management of the Operation and maintenance of building systems and services
  • Managing all external providers contracts and relationships in line with P&L and cost managed structure
  • Overseeing ISO9001 and ISO14001 recertification; owning the process and managing internal and external audits to drive standards across the business
  • Respond to Health and Safety incidents and provide appropriate advice and guidance to managers
  • Responsible for the overseeing completion of Accident Investigations 8D and Reporting including RIDDOR reporting; executing actions identified
  • Lead the development and upkeep of risk assessments and procedures, liaising with management and HR where necessary
  • Play an active role in the maintenance, organisation and agenda of the Health and Safety Committee
  • Liaise with external providers in relation to Facilities, ISO, Health and Safety and any other providers where required
  • Lead continuous improvement projects; training and coaching others and working collaboratively with the Operations Management team, using Lean methodologies
  • Training through IT systems, one to ones, coaching and meeting with the management team
  • Implement and maintain Safe Systems of Work management; produce relevant documentation and training documentation. Coaching managers to ensure successful training of team members
  • Commutable to Bristol
ProfileThe Trainee Warehouse Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for;Essential
  • Extensive experience working in an ISO environment
  • IOSH Managing Safety certified
  • Extensive working knowledge of Warehouse Operations
  • Experienced in project management
  • Excellent communicator and proven experience of working with stakeholders at all levels
  • Commercially astute with the ability to focus on departmental and business plans
  • Self-motivated
Desirable
  • FMCG experience
  • NEBOSH health and safety qualification
  • Ecommerce Experience
Experienced with moving sites and/or leading projects to develop building site changesJob OfferThe Successful Trainee Warehouse Health & Safety Manager will receive;
  • A salary between £20,000 - £28,000 depending on experience
  • 22 Days + Bank Holidays
  • Pension Scheme
