Job Description

Role: Town PlannerLocation: BristolSalary: £30000-£35000My client is an employee-owned, carbon neutral, B Corp, multidisciplinary design practice. That create long-term positive impact for their clients and the communities that they help shape. Their multidisciplinary team of over 300 architects, town planners,landscape designers, and other specialists deliver nationally significant projects across the country.Due to a healthy workload are not on the search for a Town Planner in their office in Bristol.Essential Criteria for a Town Planner:

  • Degree and/or Masters in Town or Spatial Planning.
  • Chartered Member of the RTPI or working towards Chartership.
  • Exposure to public or private sector.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
  • Full driving licence and use of own car.
Responsibilities and Duties of a Town Planner:
  • Assessing the potential of site for a range of developments, identifying opportunities and constraints, and advising clients as such.
  • Preparation and coordination of planning (and associated) applications including the drafting of supporting statements.
  • Liaising with internal and external technical specialties, clients and Local Planning Authorities.
  • Preparation of fee proposals and management of project budgets.
  • Undertaking planning research as required by members of the team.
  • Maintain a programme of CPD.
