Job Description

IBP are currently recruiting for a Quality Advisor. The Quality Advisor is a national role covering all works. Reporting into the SHEQ & Compliance Manager, the jobholder will support the SHEQ Function to achieve the highest level of performance. The rolewill involve building strong working relationships with Management to support the businesses performance towards safe and compliant project delivery. Responsible for the development and growth systems & process around Compliance.The main duties include but are not limited to:

  • Champion a work culture of continual improvement and the highest level of workmanship.
  • Work with Compliance Auditors to ensure processes are followed end to end to allow for effective actioning and change.
  • Monitor, audit and support development of business processes to ensure that compliance matters are considered and covered.
  • Analyse data sources to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Guide the business to achieve high levels of performance with governing bodies, including trusted partner status with Openreach.
  • Build guidance, processes and documents to support the business.
  • Lead and advise the business in technical matters.
  • Manage and maintain the most up to date specifications with all of our clients through close liaison.
  • Contribute to the development of the Management System (BMS)
  • Support the business in achieving and maintaining ISO standards (ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO22301)
  • Support the business in achieving and maintaining external accreditations (i.e. Achilles)
  • Coach, Mentor and tech key fundamentals around PIA, Highways specification and Client Specifications.
  • Ability to work with/learn technical subjects (Prior telecoms and highways knowledge is desirable)
  • Strong communication skills and the possession of well-developed skills in stakeholder engagement
  • Proven, demonstrable experience in a similar Quality/Compliance role, ideally gained in a similar industry such as Utilities or Construction.
  • Strong auditing and process based background.
The Ideal candidate must possess the following skills and experience:
  • Formal Auditing Qualification
  • ISO9001 Qualification
  • Demonstrable, significant experience in Compliance Management including operations experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience Auditing and working with technical specifications.
  • Advanced IT skillsMicrosoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team working and leadership.

  • NRSWA Supervisor (Desirable)
  • Membership to a Professional body (Desirable)
  • ISO14001 Qualification (Desirable)
  • ISO45001 Qualification (Desirable)
  • ISO22301 Qualification (Desirable)
  • Significant experience working in one of the Utilities / Telecoms / Construction sectors (Desirable)
