Technical Sales Manager - Lighting into Main Contractors, M&E Contractors & M&E ConsultantsArea: The South of the UKThe Company hiring a Technical Sales Manager - LightingOur client are a well established lighting manufacturer and have grown to a £75M business in the last 40 years. Their success is built on the quality of their products and is backed up by after-sales support with a warranty guarantee that is unrivalled inthe market place. They are also a British manufacturer and have excellent specification conversion ratios. This growing business offer on-going training and support and they are keen to develop the careers of their sales teams. This organisation have an excellentcompany culture and staff attrition. Our client are looking to hire a talented Technical Sales Manager with either a lighting background or experience selling electrical products into Main Contractors or M&E consultantsThe Role of Technical Sales Manager - LightingThis is a field based / home based role. You will be covering the South of the Country. The successful Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying new opportunities with Main Contractors such as Briggs and Forrester, MACE and Laing O Rourkeas well as M&E Consultants and tier 1 sub M&E sub contractors - selling the companies leading range of commercial lighting. You will deal with all levels of decision makers that include Buyers, QSs, Pre Construction Managers, Estimators, Contracts Managersand Directors. Exciting projects you will work on are typically within Education, Healthcare and Industrial sectors. There is a mix of new-build and retrofit projects. As Technical Sales Manager you will benefit from support from an internal technical teamwho will help with quotes and administration.The Candidate
  • Ideally you will have sold into M&E Consultants / M&E Contractors.
  • Candidates with a background in Lighting are encouraged to apply!
  • Ideally you will have strong specification sales experience within the Electrical, or HVAC market.
  • Graduate calibre field sales candidates that work for Electrical Wholesalers will be considered.
  • Electrical wholesaler Branch Managers (who sell into contractors are of interest)
The Package on offer for the Technical Sales Manager
  • up to £55,000 - £57,000 negotiable depending on experience
  • uncapped OTE adjusted 1st year targets to make it achievable to earn north of £7500 in yr1 - circa 24K OTE
  • Company car (choice) or £7200 car allowance

  • Company contribution pension of 6% vs employee 3%
