Were looking for someone who has a good understanding of data networking and how the Internet works from a technical perspective, looking to make the next step in their career. You need to be fast learning, incredibly hard working and apply initiative in your day to day work, which will include; Working with our Customer Service and Technical Support Team to diagnose and resolve reported issues Provide technical services to our physical infrastructure installation team Work with our Installation team to help make sites "Live" Carrying out network performance analysis and compiling reports Responding to network monitoring alerts as well as scheduled maintenance Help strive towards technical excellence within our networks helping to deliver anexcellent end user experience Carry out WiFi optimization within our existing sites Identify and suggest ways we can improve the network and our procedures Network / client device troubleshooting on our sitesThe ideal candidate...Youll have experience in a customer facing role and be an excellent communicator both written and verbal. As the role will be predominantly lone working, youll need to be confident working autonomously to deadlines. Alongside this there are some technical requirements, not all are essential and were more than happy to receive CVs from those who only partially match the requirements, as long as youre a fast learner; Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of switching protocols and theories Be able to demonstrate a reasonable understanding of Routing protocols and theories Have a good understanding of the 7 layer OSI model and be able to describe all 7 layers at an overview level Experience of working with WiFi is essential, able to demonstrate an understanding of the different IEE standards Previous experience of troubleshooting networking, routing, switching and client device issues Current holder of government security clearance to SC or DV Be handy with physical infrastructure such as data cabinets, cat5, patch panels, crimping etc. Have experience running and terminating fibre optic cables Full EU driving licence Required skills
