Job Description

Radiodetection is a world leader in the design and development of test equipment, used by utility companies, to help install, protect and maintain their infrastructure networks. With a truly global presence and a team of dedicated experts, we are at the forefront of detection technology.We are looking for a Client Technical lead to work within the Radiodetection Software Development Group to help us build new experiences, improve existing products and develop Mobile, Desktop and Web Applications a for our Cable location, Video inspection and Time Domain Reflectometry products.This includes managing the product requirements throughout the product lifecycle, prioritizing product requirements based on prioritized customer requirements, in alignment with the product vision of the Product Manager. It also includes working with sales, marketing, customers and support to ensure system and feature performance expectations are met, in line with the companys overall strategy and goals.As Technical Lead you’ll estimate engineering efforts, plan implementations, and triage production issues. You need to be dynamic, collaborative, and curious as well as an impeccable communicator as you will be expected to collaborate with distributed teams as well as supervising your own team.As Technical Lead you will be:-

  • Fulfil the role of the Product Owner within the Frontend development team.
  • Engage with stakeholders and customers to elicit, elaborate and document the full range of software product requirements and product roadmap and work with the Business Analyst to document these requirements.
  • Lead the team in development, design, implementation, and architecture design specification
  • Support business case development by helping to size implementation effort and cost
  • Identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement of technical standards, methodologies, and technologies
  • Lead and participate in the design, code, and test Inspections throughout product life cycle to contribute technical expertise and to identify issues
  • Build expertise around best-practice solution design and implementation
  • Review team / peer code and provide feedback
  • Understand / review functional specifications and translate into program specifications
  • Translate business requirements into program specifications and write code from the functional description
  • Liaise with end users for user acceptance testing
  • Co-ordinate with 3rd party providers as required
  • Responsible for the entire software lifecycle from concept stage through delivery to post launch support.
  • Developing and working on features within desktop software like our Mobile, desktop and SaaS offer.
  • Coding, testing, and debugging integrated systems to a high standard.
  • Focused on Code optimization to drive low latency performance on our solution stack.
  • Using dev tools such as Azure Dev Ops, BitBucket, Git, Jira, Confluence, and others.
