Technical Documents Manager SF32504 Plymouth Starting Salary: £36,525 About the role Were looking for a Tech Docs Manager to join us at HMNB Devonport, one of the largest naval bases in Western Europe. Were a key strategic partner to our customers; the MOD and the Royal Navy. We ensure that the UK Royal Navy goes to sea safely by supporting them in Devonport and around the world, delivering complex ship and submarine sustainment programmes and applying our core strengths of technology and expertise to sustain critical and complex assets to help maintain national security. The T31 Technical Documents Manager owns the Technical Documents Management Plan and has the responsibility for day to day control, management and co-ordination of all Technical Documentation (TD) delivered as a support artefact for the programme. A core component of the Ease of Maintenance Assessment (EMA), an effective suite of TD is essential to support the RN and enable the Maintainer to operate at the heart of the support solution. What do I need to do the role You must be must be qualified to HNC level and above We would also like you to have:

Experience in ship design and build projects

Experience of and familiar with the ILS function and in particular Technical Documentation.

Experience with Integrated Electronic Technical Documentation/Manuals and an understanding of S1000D Data Modules.

Working understanding of appropriate ILS Defence Standards including 00-600, JSP 543and ASD-Series of ILS specifications.

Lastly we would like you to have the ability to work in a complex, multi-discipline team and ideally will have experience of a Warship Data Pack What else do I need to know

The successful candidate will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving Security Check (SC) clearance.
