Job Description

Job Summary:Working with the Talent and Performance Manager, the role holder will be responsible for creating Canada Lifes early career talent development offering; including how we attract, develop and retain talent. This role will primarily focus on utilising the apprenticeshiplevy to bring in a new talent pipeline to Canada Life, before exploring opportunities with graduates, interns and other early career or career change opportunities. The role holder will also support the Talent and Performance Manager with developing CanadaLifes wider talent development offering. You will be the day-to-day point of contact for early careers talent at Canada Life - overseeing the programmes from beginning to end, coaching and challenging colleagues to grow and thrive throughout their time on programme. You will be responsible for designingand delivering a stretching programme of tailored learning that enables our early career talent to develop the right skills to ensure were fit for our future and provide opportunities for them to practise and embed their new skills and knowledge. Working alongside our Learning & Development team, you will support our people leaders in confidently managing early career talent and be the escalation point for any challenges. You will work in partnership with L&D to ensure effective management of our apprenticeshiplevy, focusing on value for colleagues and Canada Life. Youll work with business areas to identify opportunities for early career talent and help them to shape what that looks like to ensure were developing talent that is fit for our future. The Talent and Performance Consultant will be required to also build trusted and credible relationships with people leaders across Canada Life, the talent acquisition team, people relations partners as well as external learning suppliers. Taking ownership andusing your expertise to create a best-in-class experience, looking for ways to continuously evolve our talent offering. Responsibilities: 1) Lead the day-to-day running of our early career programmes, including providing pastoral and development support to all participants. 2) Create new pipelines of early career talent, working collaboratively with our talent acquisition team, focusing on apprenticeships predominantly but also including graduates and interns. 3) Work with leaders across Canada Life to ensure were set up for success to nurture early career talent. 4) Support the delivery of our other talent development programmes, including mid-senior career programmes. 5) Provide comprehensive analytical support to talent and succession initiatives. 6) Monitor success of our talent development initiatives, looking for ways to continuously improve. 7) Monitor spend of apprenticeship levy fund. 8) To establish and nurture excellent relationships within own team, and the global talent partners to leverage global opportunities and share UK successes.
