Agile Working OptionsOther Agile Working Arrangements / Open to Discussion Job descriptionJOB TITLE: Sustainability Strategy & Reporting ManagerSALARY: £56,421- £74,290 (depending on location & experience)LOCATION(S): FlexibleHOURS: Full-TimeWORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sitesDo you want to play an important part and help us deliver initiatives which make a lasting difference to our impact on the climate, and other sustainability issuesAbout This OpportunityIn this important role youll help us build on the strong progress that our Business and Commercial Banking (BCB) and Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) business have made over the last few years which has been demonstrated through multiple awards andexternal ratings and summarised in our ESG report.

  • Youll be passionate about delivering results on the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) agenda.
  • Youll lead and manage initiatives and workstreams which support the delivery of our external Net Zero commitments (including the setting of sector specific carbon reduction targets and strategies), and our ESG reporting activities (across both our Sustainabilityand ESG annual reports).
  • Youll have a real opportunity to help influence the Groups external reputation and support the delivery of key pledges such as working with clients, partners, Government and markets to halve the emissions in our financed portfolio by 2030, and reach netzero by 2050!

  • Understanding of issues around business sustainability, decarbonisation and social impact (the ESG landscape).
  • Leading and managing projects
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management skills
  • Experience in delivering written and verbal communications to a range of audiences.
And Any Experience Of These Would Be Really Useful
  • Understanding of clients across the breadth of sectors and segments that BCB and CIB serves, and the net zero considerations for these.
  • Specialised knowledge of transition to net zero in one or more high carbon sectors (e.g. energy, transportation, built environment)
  • Understanding of Risk, Finance, and portfolio strategies to drive and balance commercial and ethical outcomes
